OPTICIAN SERVICES

Here at Bottega Di Occhiali, the specialist optometrist will provide a professional, friendly eye test in modern comfortable surroundings using the latest optician techniques and technology.

Your comprehensive eye examination will take approximately 30 minutes using state-of-the-art diagnostic technology to assess and care for the health of your eyes.

Intra-Ocular Pressure Test

Often known as the Glaucoma check, the IOP (which is the pressure of the fluid inside the eyeball) check provides essential information about what is happening inside the eye itself and what is happening to the surrounding eye structures .

Visual Field Examination

This eye test provides information about the nerve fibre pathway between the eye and the brain. Some systemic disorders may lead to nerve fibre damage so this examination provides invaluable information in spotting any issues in the pathway.

OCULAR HEALTH Test

If you have problems with images overlapping, losing track of what you are reading, headaches when you are using a computer or driving, you may have a fixation disparity. This part of the eye examination assesses how your eyes work together. Special lenses can help to alleviate these symptoms as can simple eye exercises.

Binocular Vision Test

This binocular vision eye test examines the functionality of both of your eyes and establishes how, and indeed if, they are working together. If you have ever wondered why you don’t “see” a 3D film the same way as your friends or if you have ever looked at picture and wondered why all your friends can see the “hidden image” and you cannot? Then you may have reduced or no binocular vision. If you’re concerned, mention this to our optician during your eye test appointment.

Colour Vision Test

Your eye has three retinal pigment cells which allow you to see in colour., however men have a higher probability of having a colour vision defect and an acquired colour vision defect can mean that there is a medical problem which needs investigating. Again, if you are concerned, please mention this to our optometrist during your test.
